Calamity Jane

In the wild-west outpost of Deadwood City, 1876, we find the sharpshooting tomboy Calamity Jane surrounded by cowboys, townsfolk, and the famous Wild Bill Hickok. After a mix-up in the talent pool at Deadwood’s saloon-theater, 'Calam' goes to Chicago to import to Deadwood the glamorous actress, Adelaid Adams, but returns by mistake with her maid, Katie Brown instead! This smash-hit musical, based on the 1953 Hollywood blockbuster starring Doris Day, has just enjoyed a huge UK tour revival.

Junior Youth Summer Workshop 7-10 years

Jacqueline Wilson from Blaze Music Youth Theatre returns to the Riverhead to run our wildly popular Junior Youth Summer Workshops to keep young creative minds busy this holiday season.

Week 1 for 7-10 year olds will be based on the story of The Greatest Showman.

Each week, the students are required from 10am - 3pm, Monday to Friday, during which time they will work towards a showcase to parents on the Friday afternoon.

Every child in every school has one Christmas wish, to star in a Nativity, and at St Bernadette's School they 're attempting to mount a musical version! Only trouble is teacher Mr Maddens has promised that a Hollywood producer is coming to see the show to turn it into a film. Join him, his teaching assistant the crazy Mr Poppy, hilarious children and a whole lot of sparkle and shine as they struggle to make everyone's Christmas wish come true.

When Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in one place the cops are sure she won't be a found: a convent! Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and uptight Mother Superior. Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community but in doing so, blows her cover. Soon, the gang is giving chase only to find them up against Deloris and the power of her newly found sisterhood.

Matilda Wormwood is a remarkable little girl.  She has a sharp mind and a vivid imagination well beyond her years.  Neglected by her horrible parents, she finds solace in books.  On joining her new school, Crunchem Hall, Matilda finds a circle of friends who are wowed by her abilities and she befriends her kind teacher, Miss Honey.  However, the tyrannical Miss Trunchbull is determined to crush this little worm and all the other maggots too.  Will Matilda be able to use her remarkable powers to find justice for Miss Honey and the children? Or will they all end up in Chokey?!
