As part of our 2026/27 season, Louth Playgoers are proud to introduce our New Writing Scheme, an exciting initiative dedicated to championing fresh voices and original stories.

This season, one outstanding new script has been selected from a pool of submissions and will be brought to life on stage at the Riverhead Theatre. While we’re keeping details of the chosen production under wraps for now, audiences can expect a bold, original piece of theatre that reflects the creativity and talent of emerging writers.

This is more than just a production, it’s a celebration of new work, new perspectives, and the future of theatre-making in the theatre community.
