Rehearsal Days: Monday/Wednesdays (other days may be occasionally scheduled. A full schedule will be available at the auditions)

Cast Size: 4w / 11m / 1boy (doubling up may be an option)

Synopsis: In 1997, a BAFTA award-winning British film about six out-of-work Sheffield steelworkers with nothing to lose took the world by storm. And now they're back, live on stage ... only for them, it really has to be The Full Monty. Simon Beaufoy, the Oscar-winning writer of the film, has now gone back to Sheffield where it all started to rediscover the men, the women, the heartache and the hilarity of a city on the dole.

Gaz 
Playing age 30-55

Energetic ringleader of the group, dad to Nathan trying to secure money to pay child support and keep his visiting rights to his son. 

Rough around the edges typical working class northerner. 

Role involves nudity

Dave 
Playing age 30-45

Devoted friend to Gaz often swept along with his schemes whilst maintaining his own voice. 

Conscious of his weight and struggles with how unemployment affects his marriage. 

Relatable warm friendly character.

Lomper
Playing age 25-35

A security guard at the old steel mill. Depressed and emotional character but gets welcomed into the group. 

Roll involves nudity, topic of suicide and sexuality.

Horse 
Playing age 40-60 

Preferably of Black or Asian descent 

One of the older members of the group, he is a slower gentle soul with a great ability to dance. 

Sometimes known as the grumpy character but always supportive. He struggles with insecurities of his body and age.

Role involves nudity.

Guy 
Playing age 20-40

Enthusiastic charming "will have a go" kind of character. Guys open nature provides a stark contrast to the rest of the group.

Role involves nudity and topics of sexuality.

Gerald 
Playing age 50-70

Former supervisor at The mill. Ashamed of being unemployed and hiding from it from his wife. Becomes the choreographer of the group. 

Role involves nudity.

Nathan 
Playing age 10-13

Son of Gaz and Mandy. Devoted to both estranged parents that feels torn between wanting to believe in his dad and his crazy schemes and knowing that his mum does not approve.

Jean 
Playing age 25-45

Jean is a strong loud character.

Married to Dave she is trying to be supportive but their marriage is struggling due to Dave's unemployment.

Mandy 
Playing age 35-50

Gaz's ex and Nathan's mum. Only wants the best for Nathan. Caring, strong character.

Supportive loving wife to Gerald.

Owner of local club where the boys are going to perform.
