Join us in the Riverhead Studio Theatre to enjoy an afternoon of music from this multi-award-winning London-based string quartet with a growing reputation for performance excellence. In this concert of works spanning over 400 years, from Purcell's intricate fantasias that capture the courtly elegance of Tudor England, through the characteristic charm and wit of a Haydn string quartet, to the Danish Quartet's modern re-workings of traditional Nordic folk tunes, there will be music to suit all tastes. Bartók's inter-war transcendent masterpiece, his Fourth String Quartet, provides a thrilling conclusion to the adventurous programme.
