Meet the Cast - Cluedo

Based on the iconic board game and the cult classic film from 1985, Clue; Cluedo is a farcical who-dunnit that will keep you laughing from start to finish. Full of witty one-liners, iconic characters, physical comedy and twists and turns that will keep you guessing, this show is not one to miss. Now, let’s meet the actors who will bring the show to life.

Starting off with the staff, we have Yvette, the provocative and sultry ‘French’ maid, who might have her own secret aspirations. Yvette is played by Ellie Johnson, who has starred in several shows with Louth Playgoers in the last two years. Next up is Wadsworth, the butler, iconically played by Tim Curry in the film. Wadsworth is the driving force of the show and in every respect is a traditional butler, uptight, strict and by-the-book. Long-time Playgoer of 14 years, Philip Marshall Junior will be taking on this role. The final member of the staff is the quite bolshy, aggressive and threatening Cook, who will be played by Heather Grant, taking part in her first play with the Playgoers.

The iconic six characters from the original board game are the suspects in the play; Reverend Green, Miss Scarlett, Colonel Mustard, Mrs Peacock, Professor Plum and Mrs White.

Reverend Green is being portrayed by Darren Melton, a regular in Louth Playgoers productions over the last 8 years. Reverend Green is a timid, yet officious, rule follower, not to mention a through and through Tory.

Miss Scarlett is played by one of three new faces to the Louth stage in this production, Danielle Emmitt, who has performed over the last few decades at the Caxton’s theatre in Grimsby. Miss Scarlett is the epitome of ‘femme fatale’. She smokes, dresses glamorously and can’t help herself to a little gossip.

Colonel Mustard, is played by our second newcomer, Jon Molson, who comes to us via Boston and Skegness societies. Jon has actually performed in this show before (well the American version), but this time will be taking on the puffy, pompous, dense, blow-hard of a military man in Colonel Mustard.

Mrs Peacock is played by Vicki Wright, a member of Louth Playgoers for several years, having been in both plays and musicals over that time. Mrs Peacock is the church-going wife of an MP. It is safe to say she’s a little bit batty, neurotic, and quick to hysteria.

Professor Plum is played by one of the busiest men in Playgoers in Kevin Campbell. Kev has appeared in 5 shows in just over a year and is in not only this show but also the Summer Concert. Professor Plum is an ‘academic’, who likes to think of himself as a bit of a Casanova. Safe to say, he’s not really either…

Mrs White rounds up our suspects, and she is played by Amanda Hodges, another Caxton’s alumni, who came to Louth a few years back and has been in several plays over that time. Mrs White is pale, morbid and tragic and doesn’t have the best track record with husbands. If she asks you to marry her, we suggest you run.

The final character of the cast is not a suspect, but the man who gathers them all together at his mansion, Mr Boddy. Ben Green is the man responsible for bringing this mysterious, suave man to life. Ben is our final new face in the show and has been performing most recently over in Boston.

And that is the amazingly talented cast that will be providing all the laughs you could possibly ask for, and perhaps some you didn’t. This show is classic humour at it’s best and will provide you with a brilliant night out at the theatre. So, make sure you get your tickets early and support not only this fabulous cast, but local theatre in general.

The show runs from the 8th-11th October 2025 at the Louth Riverhead Theatre.

There’s been a murder, but who did it, where did they do it and with what weapon? Come and find out…
